I grew up in the Bronx and attended the Bronx
High School of Science.
Afterwards, I received a BBA from Baruch College at the City University of New York.
My first job was with Insurance Services Office as a computer programmer. The
highlight of this first job was that I met Phyllis while working there. I've worked at Home Box Office
for over 22 years. While there, I've worked on a wide range of platforms and used many
different types of software. I started out on the mainframe and am now
primarily involved in web design, programming and Oracle dba activities.
My overriding interests are in science fiction (favorite author-
Isaac Asimov,
favorite shows - Star Trek, Babylon 5), playing basketball and tennis, and
playing rotisserie baseball. My favorite movie is Casablanca.
Phyllis
I grew up in Peekskill, New York. I received a BS in Mathematics from Mercy College.
My second job was with Insurance Services Office as a computer programmer. The
highlight of this job was that I met Doug while working there. Currently, I'm a barista
at Starbucks.
My interests include science fiction (favorite author-
Harlan Ellison,
favorite shows - Star Trek, Babylon 5), walking, and being involved with my son's
school activities. I have an interest in children's learning problems,
specifically Hyperlexia.
Our son, Jason was born in 1988 and we currently live in New Jersey.
We're both interested in cats, genealogy, science, travelling, and computers (we prefer Macs).
Our favorite magazines are Newsweek, Consumer Reports and Reader's Digest.
